2012: Alex graduated a 4-year film program with a BA in Cinema & Digital Arts; Concentration in Directing. He simultaneously directed his first indie micro-budget feature while a full-time senior. The film helped land him his first ‘large-budget’ movie directing job in California …
2013: Dance-Off (The movie) was directed in Los Angeles. It features faces from True Blood, General Hospital, MTV's Awkward, SYTYCD, and Glee. Distributed by Freestyle Releasing and Mar Vista Entertainment.
2015: Alex founded music video-based production company, Hustlecake.
2016: Alex directed branded content/commercials. His first two clients were VOGUE and Disney. He’s completed branded content for Sony Animation Studios, Jordan (NIKE), Fab Fit Fun, Sothebys and others.
2017: Alex earned his first RIAA Platinum Plaque via RCA SONY in the summer of 2017 for his role as creator (Director, DP, Editor) of Khalid's first ever music video, "Location.''
2018: Alex earned his second RIAA Platinum Plaque for directing “I Like Me Better,” LAUV’s first chart-topping music hit.
Late-2018: Alex was invited on the air of NBC’s ‘The TODAY Show’ to share an inspiring, personal event from 2011. Watch that TV segment here.
2019: Alex established DIMARCOLAND, a production company solely for his narrative productions (TV & Film).
Late-2019: Alex shot his first TV Pilot, entitled ‘Space Juice,’ a 1-hr mature-comedy. Watch the trailer here.
2020: Alex reached a collective 1 billion views worldwide solely on music videos that he’s directed/produced.
2022: Alex was awarded a RIAA Certified Diamond Plaque for “Khalid’s - Location” (1 of 75 in the world). He also finished directing his third feature length film, a thriller. He was accepted into 6 film festivals for his music video “Just A Word” by international artist Prateek Kuhad including the popular 2022 Newport Beach Film Festival.
